Sixth Form Intent

Our Further Maths curriculum prepares our students for university and to be leaders in their community by

  1. Encouraging students to recognise that mathematics permeates the world around us
  2. Enabling students to articulate their misconceptions and ideas using correct mathematical language and notation
  3. Empowering students to develop their thinking and reasoning power through risk-taking and learning from their mistakes

So that students can become logical thinkers, functionally numerate citizens, and able problem solvers prepared for further learning in mathematics or the inspiring career of their choice.
