Ark Globe Academy has specialist status in the performing arts with an emphasis on music. We want our students to have every opportunity to get the most out of these programmes and our ambition is for every pupil to fully participate in our music and arts programmes.
Our Mission
At Ark Globe we believe every student needs and deserves a high-quality music education, and that this will inspire each child to become a creative and innovative thinker.
Through performing and responding to music, all students develop individual skills, realise a sense of belonging, and establish connections with their community. We aim to create a musical community that is rich with cultural, social, and intellectual diversity. We provide students with a personalised learning environment which fosters meaningful cultural experiences in performance, understanding, and appreciation of the discipline and art of music. Through our school community and extracurricular program, we offer the highest quality music instruction and performance opportunities for students across all year groups.
Extracurricular Clubs and Events
To compliment our curricular work our students can get involved with a varied and exciting extracurricular programme including drama, brass ensemble, junior orchestra, musical theatre club and string ensemble.

Ark Schools Music Hub
We are very fortunate to be part of the Ark Schools network. Through this network our students benefit from a wealth of experience and opportunities. Last year alone our students were offered opportunities to perform at some fantastic venues in London including the Barbican, the Mayor’s Office, Royal Festival Hall and the BBC to name but a few. Outreach and Community Music
Alongside the Ark Schools music programme we work with other outreach projects. These include BEAMS, Southwark Music Service, Soundcastle, CBBC, Multi Storey Orchestra, Innovate, Wired4Music and Cre8ing Vision. Through these projects students have attended songwriting workshops, listened to a live orchestra in our own performance space and performed at the Southbank Centre.
