Individual successes included:

- Andreas Garcia, secured an impressive four 9s in Mathematics, Biology, Geography, and French. Earlier this year, Andreas was also nominated for the Hall of Achievement by their Dean of School for their professionalism and independence. Andreas said, “I’m pleased with my results especially Maths and Biology where I got 9s. I am pleasantly surprised that I got 7 in my English subjects too – they were harder than I thought but I still did well. In preparing for my exams, I had to overcome being tempted to procrastinate or lose motivation. My advice for incoming year 11 is plan and organise time to revise but make sure you don’t burn out!”
Image - Alina Munawar achieved an impressive two grade 9s, five grade 8s, and two grade 7s. She is looking forward to starting Sixth Form at Ark Globe Academy studying History, Maths and Economics. Alina said, “I really want to do History for A level so I’m really pleased I got a 9. I’m also happy with my Maths result as it is probably my favourite subject. My best revision advice is to start revising in October for the first set of mocks and don’t stop revising from then. I found online flash cards really helpful. Now I’m looking forward to starting my new era at Globe’s Sixth Form.”

- Ash Amin achieved grades 8s in English Literature, Mathematics, and Double Science and is going on to Globe’s Sixth Form to study Maths, Physics and Chemistry in pursuit of doing a masters in mechanical engineering at University. Ash said “I’m really pleased with my science results. Six science exams is a lot! I was a bit nervous but confident as well because I knew that five years of hard work led to this moment. The discipline you need to revise can be overwhelming but you have to keep going.”

- Michael Simon achieved a grade 9 in Mathematics, and an 8 across all three triple Science subjects – Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. He will be continuing his studies at Sixth Form to study Maths, Further Maths and Physics, with eyes on university after that. Michael said “I’m most pleased with my Maths mark – I got a 9. I revised using past exam papers. Balancing homework and GCSEs was a challenge but I stayed dedicated by balancing my schedule.”
Image - Ra-eesaa Davis has been at Globe Academy since Reception and was pleased with his English result of 9 for English Literature. He is staying on to Globe Sixth Form to study Maths, Economics and Biology. “I’m most happy with English – I wasn’t expecting it. The highest I’ve ever got is 7. The last mock exam I got 6 and the mock before that I got a 6 so it was a pleasant surprise. I found using past papers to revise most useful. This was the biggest help I feel especially for STEM subjects.”
Ark Globe Academy Executive Principal Matt Jones OBE said, “GCSE results day is a very important milestone for students across the country. I am delighted to share in the success of our Year 11 students on such a significant day. Many of our students have got the important grades required to take their best next step in their education. I would like to thank our dedicated and committed team of adults who have supported our students in securing another set of strong outcomes.”
“I wish all our students the very best as they begin the next step of their journey. We look forward to welcoming the majority of them into our wonderful Ark Globe Sixth Form to continue their studies in September.”
