Ark Globe Academy students celebrate A-level and BTEC exam success

Students from Ark Globe Academy have secured top university places after excelling in their A level and BTEC results.

A Level & BTEC students celebrate their results

80 percent of our students achieved grades A* to C. 100 percent of students have been offered university places, with over 80 percent having secured a place at a top third university.  

Students will be going on to study at a variety of top destinations, including the University of Oxford, University College London, King’s College London, Durham, Exeter, Bristol, Queen Mary, Warwick, Birmingham and Nottingham. 

Ark Globe Academy student Samuel Fatoke-Osobukola passed his BTEC Level 3 in Business with D*DD and has been offered a place to read Theology and Religion with Foundation Year at Oxford. Samuel is the only student this year to be accepted for an Oxford place via the BTEC-only route to the Foundation Year programme. 

He said, “I’m looking forward to meeting different people from different walks of life. In terms of future aspirations, I’m still weighing up my options. But I have considered becoming a teacher. I want to teach people about theology and religion. My teachers have really inspired me – and I’d love to have a similar impact on children.” 

Other successes included: 

  • Ezana Henock, who joined Ark Globe Academy in Year 7, and visited Australia after winning an essay writing competition, achieved A*, A, A and will study Physics at King’s College London. He said, “Sixth Form has been an enjoyable experience. It has got me accustomed to hard work but also helped me build important friendships, relationships and bonds to support me.” 

  • Nefisa Badoo-Mensah, who joined Ark Globe Academy in 2013, got A*, A, B and will study Drama at Warwick University. She said, “Sixth Form has taught me the importance of working hard to achieve what you want, no matter what the obstacles are.” 

  • Damari Harris, Deputy Head Boy, got A*, A, B and will study Law at University of Bristol. He said, “I want to become a lawyer so I can be of help to my varying communities, and those around me. I want to initiate projects to help people who are unable to help themselves, as not everyone receives the help they need. I am passionate about improving social well-being.” 

  • Halim Adegbite got D, D, D in his BTEC and is going to the University of Birmingham to study Sport and Exercise Science. He said, “Attending university will help me achieve my long-term goals to understand how the human body works from a sporting perspective. Sport can bring people together and connect in ways they can't do elsewhere.” 

  • Mobolaji Badiah, Head Boy, got A, B, B and will study Accounting and Finance at the University of Nottingham. He said, “My interest in business and economics was sparked by the rise of the revolutionary football card game, Match Attax. The joy of this project ignited my passion for exploring microeconomic objectives and understanding why businesses and consumers make the decisions they do.” 

  • Khadija Ahmed, achieved a D*, D*, D in BTEC Business Professional Pathways. She will be heading to University College London to study Business and Health. She said, “I feel extremely happy with my results. I feel like I achieved what I worked hard for. There was a lot of coursework and I didn't think that I would be able to get it done but I did.” 

  • Victoria Daniec, an aspiring Psychologist, achieved A, B, B, and will study Psychology at the King’s College London. She advises those starting Year 13 to "Push yourself and give your all now, so that when you open your results in the summer, you can stand proud knowing you truly gave your best.”

This set of results enables our students to access the exciting opportunities available to them at many of the UK’s top institutions. These outcomes are a credit to their hard work, and to the support and dedication of our whole staff team.”
