These GCSE results come on the back of a highly successful year for Ark Globe Academy, which was graded ‘exceptional’ for Inclusion, Leadership and Governance, Personal Development and Wellbeing, and Post-16 Provision in its May Ofsted inspection. The academy was also graded as ‘strong standard’ in Achievement, Behaviour and Attendance, Curriculum and Teaching, and Early Years.
The ‘exceptional’ grading represents approximately 4% of all judgements given by Ofsted under the new framework. Inspectors highlighted the school’s strong culture and sense of belonging, noting that Globe students “are delighted to be able to attend this school each and every day”, that they “know that they belong”, and that the school is their “home from home”.
