Executive Principal, Matt Jones OBE, says: “GCSE results day is a very important milestone for students at across the country. I am delighted to share in the success of our young people on such a significant day. Many of our students have got the important grades required to take their best next step in achieving their life goals. I would like to thank our dedicated and committed team of adults who have supported our students in securing strong outcomes. We look forward to welcoming the majority of our students back into our wonderful Ark Globe Sixth Form to continue their studies. Finally, and most importantly, I wish all our students the very best in their education journey, whether that is at Globe or beyond.”

Among the top performers are:

Mohammed Idrees Ahmed, a dedicated student who has achieved incredible results, securing an impressive ten grade 9s and one grade 8, demonstrating his remarkable academic prowess and resilience.

Idrees joined Ark Globe Academy in 2011 as a nursery student and has been a part of the school community ever since. Despite facing numerous challenges throughout Key Stage 4, Idrees persevered and excelled in his GCSEs. He will continue his academic journey at Ark Globe Sixth Form, where he plans to study Maths, Biology, and Chemistry.

Reflecting on his achievements, Idrees said, “I am incredibly happy with my results; they could possibly be the greatest results in this school. Some subjects came out better than expected, such as English Literature. I was dreaming of opening my results and getting incredibly amazing results, which kept me motivated. I would like to thank my teachers, such as Mr Ajab, who helped me in school in general and maths, and other great teachers like Mr Twumasi, who recommended me to further maths. Also, Ms Manley, who provided lots of resources for History and French. I would advise anyone sitting their GCSEs to keep persevering even if the question is hard and always look for feedback.

Idrees achieved his outstanding results in the following subjects: English Literature (9), Mathematics (9), Biology (9), Chemistry (9), Physics (9), Business Studies (9), Computer Science (9), History (9), French (9), and English Language (8).

Nathanael Camacho Aguilera, whose family originates from Bolivia. Nathanael joined Ark Globe Academy in Year 7 and has achieved an impressive five grade 9s, four grade 8s, one grade 7, and one grade 6. He is excited to continue his academic journey at Ark Globe Academy Sixth Form, where he plans to study Biology, Chemistry, and Sociology at A-Level, with ambitions to pursue a career in dentistry or healthcare.

Reflecting on his achievements, Nathanael said, “These are the best results I have seen in my time at Globe. I remember the moment I was in my exam, feeling nervous and looking around. I wanted to escape, but I realised that nothing I could do would get me out, so I calmed myself down. No matter how tired or nervous you are, always think about how that moment will help you in your future. If that doesn’t feel like enough, think about all the people around you who want to see you succeed. For me, it has been my mum who has always been there to support me. I think about what she had to do to get to this country and how much she might have suffered to give me a life she never had. So, it doesn’t matter how many sleepless nights you have to endure, just remember that your hard work today will bring joy to you and the people around you.

Nathanael achieved his outstanding results in the following subjects: Chemistry (9), Biology (9), Computer Science (9), Spanish (9), French (9), Mathematics (8), History (8), Physics (8), Music (8), English Language (7), and English Literature (6).

Rahma Muse, who has been a cherished member of our school community since joining Ark Globe Nursery at the age of 3. Now 16 years old, Rahma has achieved two grade 9s, six grade 8s, and two grade 7s, showcasing her dedication and hard work.

Rahma has enjoyed a wonderful journey at Ark Globe Academy, making many friends and celebrating with her peers. She fondly recalls the good times in her Year 6 class parties and at culture day. Rahma has grown up with the same people around her in our all-through academy, enjoying the supportive atmosphere. She advises other students to start their revision early in the year. When asked how she would celebrate, she responded that “everybody’s happiness will be enough.”

Reflecting on her results, she said, “I am very pleased with my results and grateful for what I got, and I am very happy with the journey I have been on in this school from Nursery to Year 11. I would advise the coming Year 11s to always strive to work your hardest and don’t let any setbacks demotivate you from your goals.”

Rahma achieved her results in Religious Education (9), Food Technology (9), English Language (8), Mathematics (8), Chemistry (8), Physics (8), History (8), Spanish (8), English Literature (7), Biology (7).

Mahia Zannat, who arrived in the UK from the Middle East at the age of 14 with her twin sister, joined Ark Globe Academy in Year 10. Mahia has achieved an impressive four grade 9s and five grade 8s, demonstrating her dedication and hard work.

Mahia embraced the values, beliefs, and purpose of the culture pyramid at Ark Globe Academy, adapting to the different study methods and the English language. She worked diligently to acclimate to the new environment and emphasised the importance of understanding topics rather than just taking notes. Mahia looks forward to celebrating her success with a graduation party at home with her family.

Offering crucial advice to future GCSE students, Mahia stressed the importance of maintaining high attendance and following teachers’ guidance on how to structure answers. She will continue her studies at Ark Globe Academy Sixth Form, focusing on Maths, Chemistry, and Biology, with aspirations to pursue a career in medicine and surgery.

Reflecting on her journey, Mahia commented, “I want to thank my History and Science teachers, Ms Manley and Mr Richmond, who really helped me and increased my interest in their subjects. It’s important to concentrate in class and not miss any lessons because the way teachers teach you, you cannot teach yourself. The way they teach, you cannot learn from a textbook. I look forward to studying in Sixth Form, where I will work hard to get an Oxbridge offer, or a top Russell Group university offer and pursue medicine. In Sixth Form, I will also gain more independence and gain experiences outside of school like volunteering and work experience.”

Mahia achieved her results in Double science (9, 9), History (9), Business Studies (9), English Language (8), English Literature (8), Mathematics (8), Computer Science (8), and Geography (8)
