Striving for excellence

Four years ago, I worked my first week at Globe and the two things that stood out to me were the fantastic relationships the students had with teachers and the pride they had in their community. With so many staff and students from around the world, Globe’s community is to me a melting pot of ideas, beliefs, creativity and expression which, as a leader for Performance and Enrichment, I get to see played out every day in the most interesting ways.

As my time at Globe has gone on, our purpose and vision has become ever more clear and tangible. As our Sixth form continues to grow, I can see the real impact that this is having on our young people, and hopefully in the future we will all see the impact it will have on our alumni as they contribute to society and fulfil our shared purpose. I feel privileged to be part of the journey and look forward to seeing our students change the world.”

Sean Whitehead, Assistant Principal

In our recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged as outstanding for the behaviour and safety of pupils and leadership, management and early years provision. We were selected to be part of the Government’s 2013-2014 Parliamentary Review of Education as an example of good practice within education. Our inclusion in the Parliamentary Review reinforces that our teacher development programme is a beacon of excellence.

Training opportunities

In order to deliver the best training and network events, we offer twice as many training days as standard.

Your school will develop and deliver its own training sessions which are responsive to need.  You’ll work with colleagues from different subjects, schools and cities, and have the chance to take on network-wide responsibilities such as leading programmes or training.  Our training doesn’t stop once you reach a certain level or learn a certain skill – we’ll support you throughout your whole career, from starting out as a trainee to running your own school.

Be part of a network

Joining our school means becoming part of a network of education experts who are all united by the same purpose - a commitment to making a difference where it matters most. You will have the opportunity to come together with your peers locally, nationally and sometimes even internationally, to share resources, learning and good practice.  You'll also be supported to focus on what you do best. We are always looking for ways to take away additional pressures, to give you more freedom to concentrate on improving education outcomes for young people. We offer support beyond the classroom; from prioritising strong behaviour management strategies to giving you access to our award-winning data management platform.

Have an impact far beyond your own school
