Year 1 Pupils Visit Sea Life Centre
Tuesday 07 February 2017
Our Year 1 pupils from Pythagoras and Da Vinci classes had a wonderful day at the Sea Life London Aquarium in central London. They explored the aquarium with colourful “creatures”; such as coral reef, seahorses, jellyfish, sharks, turtles, and rays.
Pupils were very excited to see the penguins as they had learnt about penguins as part of their English topic. Emmanuel from Pythagoras said that the best part of the trip was the penguins, particularly when they were waddling. Aicha from the same class agreed: “I liked going on the trip with my Dad and looking at penguins waddle.”
Pupils were fortunate enough to be able to touch some of the sea creatures, including star fish, and they learnt about rules of natural life in the sea. Ahmad from Pythagoras said: “I liked the Jelly fish because if any animal wants to eat it they can sting them.” They also were able to learn about what type of creatures live in British waters and in particularly the River Thames.
The trip was a success and enjoyed by teachers, parents and pupils.
