Wasserman Serve Day at our Academy
Tuesday 07 November 2017
Wasserman Foundation, a US based charity, sponsors other Wasserman companies' staff to volunteer one day each year in schools during their global annual Wasserman Serve Day. The event took place for the second time at our academy, and Wasserman Experience London employees came to our school to complete a list of challenges.
They renovated a garden behind our car park. The garden is now ready for being planted with vegetables, fruits and a variety of herbs. They cleaned the garden’s planting areas, installed wood edgings, planted flowers and made picnic tables and benches. The planting areas of the garden will be used by our newly found gardening club.
Another challenge was the makeover of the library. The Wasserman team changed the interior design of the library completely, by wallpapering, painting murals on the walls and installing cut-out literary characters and quotes. The challenge included turning the central columns in the library into a huge tree trunk with the street signs to the most inspiring imaginary destinations.
We would like to thank the Wasserman Foundation and Wasserman Experience London team who invested their time in our academy, for all of their hard work and making the library and garden area even more inspiring, which will enhance our students’ wellbeing and learning experience in the academy.
