9 of our Primary students wrote short stories which were selected to be published in a book: Spooky Sagas, South London Tales. It is a 150 page long book, which features stories by students aged 8-11. It is an amazing success for our Primary students – huge congratulations to Abigail, Abida, Sumayyah, Dimeari, Zahid, Mya, Demari, Tabassom and Kulsom!
Our Primary has produced many other writers in the past, including a Year 6 student writing for Lonely Planet about Elephant and Castle and how great the area is, as well as published poets. Ms Clarke said: “It is great to have many published writers and poets in Primary. I’d like to see it going further. Because our students have the character to go out and conduct themselves in the best professional manner beyond Southwark.”
