Mr Edwards ran the marathon

Congratulations to Mr Edwards, one of our PE teachers, who ran the London Marathon 2019 in support of our Academy and fundraised an amazing £3,133! Mr Edwards created a great buzz in our Academy, and students and staff got very much inspired by his dedication to the community and to running. Students organised a bake sale to support his fundraising too. Mr Edwards finished the marathon in 3 hours and 33 minutes – which is a fantastic achievement. He will not stop there though, he announced that he will run the marathon next year for a cancer research charity. We are all so grateful to Mr Edwards for fundraising for our Academy and inspiring our community. We also would like to thank to everyone who donated to Mr Edward’s fundraising page and supported his run.
