Living Eggs - Now and Then

Tuesday 04 December 2018

Last academic year, just before the Summer Term, our nursery children had some guest residents, which were ten eggs! After resting in the incubator, the eggs hatched, one by one, and were then transferred from the incubator to the brooding unit. Our nursery children observed this process day by day with great interest and excitement. They also loved handling the chicks, before they were sent to happily grow up in a farm in London. We recently received some pictures of the chicks having grown up and become healthy and happy chickens. Their owners are now grateful to all of our Early Years children and staff for giving the chicks so much love and care during their time at Ark Globe!
