Jack Petchey Achievement Awards 2017
Wednesday 01 November 2017
The 2017 Southwark Schools Jack Petchey Achievement Awards ceremony took place on 28th June at Lambeth College, where our winners from the 2016- 2017 academic year took their place among an amazing 118 young people from across Southwark to be presented with their medallions, framed certificates and a cheque for £250 each. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our academy’s students. There was a performance from Alessandra Curle from BBC’s Pitch Battle and our students met the mayor of Southwark.
Our 2016-2017 winners are Aneesha Hussain, Hana Rahmani, Monel Bleau, Eduard Bruchner, Demetri Addison, Joshua Adeyemi, Patryk Pacholek, Kadisa Cham and Thomas Mansaray.
Two of our award-winning students Thomas Mansaray and Kadisa Cham used their award money to take thirty-five of our Year 8 students with the highest Globe Growth on a reward trip to play laser tag. Thomas and Kadisa decided to put their £250 prizes together to take the hardest-working students on the trip.
Another winner, Patryk Pacholek donated a 3D printer to our school which he bought with his award money. The printer was enjoyed by students, and captured while it was in action after printing Wall-e, a third of the leaning tower of pisa, and a bit of a guitar.
Well done to all of our Jack Petchey Award winning students!
