Our students worked with one of our business partners, Lendlease, in an art and culture project called Illuminated Gardens. As part of this project, a group of artists and art educators came to our Academy to work with our Year 9 students. They created beautiful and colourful willow lanterns to be displayed in Elephant Park just by the Elephant and Castle station. The project was launched with students, parents and teachers as well as the wider community present. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to work with professional artists, which will support their GCSE work, and improve our environment through their artistic and craft skills. Well done to all of the students who took part.
