Holocaust survivor visits our school
Ruth Barnett, a holocaust survivor visited our school for giving a talk to our Year 8’s.
Ms Barnett was born in 1935 in Berlin, Germany. In 1939, aged four, she arrived in Britain with her seven-year-old brother on the Kindertransport. She shared her testimony of her experience, showed pictures, and answered our students’ questions.
Ms Barnett reminded our students the importance of peace and tolerance in everyday life. She is the author of four books, and brought these with her as new acquisitions to our library.
