As you may have seen the Prime Minister has set out the Government’s plan to begin to gradually ease the lockdown arrangements over the coming months. Please see below our latest guidance:

As you know, the Government has said that schools must close from this Friday, 20 March for all students other than for those whose parents are key workers.
The Department for Education has confirmed which roles are specifically covered by the term Key Worker. Please see summary of Key Workers below:
- Health and social care
- Education and childcare
- Key public services - E.g. working in the justice system, charity workers etc.
- Local and national Government who are responsible for managing aspects of the COVID-19 response
- Food and other necessary goods - including; food production and processing, food distribution and food sales
- Public safety and national security - E.g. Ministry of Defence workers and armed forces
- Transport workers
- Utilities, communication and financial services - including; oil, gas and electricity workers, water sectors (including sewage), essential financial services, Royal mail employees, waste disposal sectors

The Government guidance states that school will be available to households where either both parents are key workers, or for key worker single parent households. If this applies to you and there are no other adults who can look after your children, please let us know by 4pm Friday 20 March by replying ‘Yes’ to the text message that you will receive today or by calling 0207 940 5106.
