Pupils work with media professionals
On 20 September 2016, 30 Year 10 and 11 students had the exciting opportunity to work with Senior Media Professionals from Adidas’ Sport Style PR Manager to Johnson & Johnson’s Marketing Director. They worked together to complete a brief, looking at how to develop student’s careers knowledge. After a productive morning, Head Girl Memunat collated lots of the ideas that were generated and will be using them to organise events soon!
Squared Guru is a 'digital leadership' program that is run by Google for individuals in the media and advertising industry. The participants are not Google employee's, but work for advertising and creative firms or for corporations within their advertising teams. Squared Guru is a 2-week program, and we run 3 days of the program that are focussed on leadership and personal development.

They were surprised by the capability and ambition of all of the students and how motivated they were to be involved in the project. The students took every opportunity available to speak to the Squared group and learn from them about what to do to be successful in the workplace. They came up with some great ideas and we hope that they’ve been able to put some of those into place to redesign how careers workshops are happening in the school."
