Community Came Together: Our Fourth Summer Fair

On Saturday 14 July 2018 we held our fourth annual Ark Globe Academy Summer Fair. Following the success of previous years, it was a fantastic opportunity to welcome our whole community into the school and celebrate our achievements together. We welcomed almost 2000 people to our fair, which makes this the biggest so far!

There were lots of fantastic stalls and games, including performances from our students, a cup and saucer fairground ride, a barbecue, international food, raffle and for the first time, a mobile farm with goats, sheep and rabbits! Our visitors loved being welcomed to the fair by the bleating of sheep. Mr Whitehouse and Mr Scallan volunteered at the stall ‘Get the teacher’ this year, and Mr Bellamy and Mr Boothe led the different sports challenges.

Year 12 Business Pathways students ran 4 game stalls and also helped organise the whole fair. Face painting and the barbecue very popular as in previous years! Every year group in Primary ran a game stall, and Inclusion team with the help of Ms Hammond organised a beautiful bake sale.

We would like to thank all our staff for their hard work in supporting the event and our event supporters for their generosity that contributed to the success of the fair: ANZUK, BFI, Carr Kamasa Design, CPR London, Cubix, Denise’s Flowers, Food Tendering Services, Inventry, Jackson FIT, Mirrorsmith, White Hall Clothiers, Sainsbury’s Great Dover Street, Schools Plus, Southwark Playhouse, Tesco Walworth Road and the Gated Gardens.
